While in Jamaica earlier this year, we had a beautiful impromptu meeting with Big One, the man behind Biggy Music label. His past works are mainly in the Dancehall field, both playing it and producing for the likes of Mavado, Mr Vegas, Bugle, Sean Paul, Wayne Wonder and his portfolio highlights could go on and on.
What’s interesting about him now is that he recently faced a “shift in consciousness” as he says since he became resident DJ for Inner City Dub, a strictly roots and dub session held in Tivoli Gardens by I-Nation. And do this lyrics say anything to you – “Finally, this natty dread can smoke inna peace..” ? Well, Big One is the one who produced “Steamaz Riddim” that features Jesse Royal‘s 2015 hit “Finally” and Jah9’s “The Marijuana”.
For 2016 he’s got a lot going on: Bugle’s new EP “Reggae Knowledge”, “2016 Giggy” various artists EP, an upcoming “Herbal World Anthemz” compilation, a Reggae album that’s quite confidential currently and a many more. Check him out in this new #ReggaelizinInterview:
